Tokio Hotel is a pop rock band from Germany, founded in 2001 by singer Bill Kaulitz. Through our many music industry contacts we were approached by the stage designer to produce a stage prop based on a motorcycle for Bill to sit on for the climax of their current worldwide tour.
We were given some initial concept ideas and were told it had to be jet propelled and look like something from 'Batman meets Judge Dread' but the most important thing was it had to be very light weight as it was to be raised up through the stage on a lift and could be no more that 50Kg .
The whole chassis was fabricated in house and we assembled most of the bike from scrap parts we found and added some sculpted parts such as the jet engine. A final metallic paint effect and the prop was ready to tour the world!
